When choosing your wedding gown:

• Make your appointment well in advance.
• Arrive on time if not even a little earlier
• Try and be nice and relaxed with a clear head (it doesn't help if you had a late night previous!!)
• Don't bring too many people with you, especially on your first visit as too many people mean too many different opinions and this can confusion and make it difficult to decide what you like yourself. Keep it to one or two people.
• Even though you may have your own ideas on style etc. be open minded. A gown that has no hanger appeal could well be theone!!
• Order your gown at least five to six months before the big day
• Try your gown on as soon as it arrives in the shop, even if you want to leave your fittings until nearer the date.
• Enjoy every inch of it!!

 

Tips for the big day

• Put gown on in good time on the morning
• Have someone (bridesmaid) have a packet of wipes at hand as they are great for removing make up or any small marks which could appear on your gown.
• Have a small sewing kit and some double sided tape as they are a quick fix for hems etc.
• It is important to eat a good healthy breakfast that morning along with a glass of champagne to calm the nerves!
• Finally have a bridesmaid tell you the time every hour so your big day does not pass you by.And most importantly enjoy!
